Brooklyn Center Civic Center

A New Addition

Blumentals/Architecture was called upon to lead the design of renovations to the existing Civic Center building. Through the renovation we were able to make circulation improvements to the existing facility while updating some of its functions. A new main entrance was added with a control desk directly inside with stairs and elevators nearby. New community meeting rooms along with a serving kitchen were added to the second floor. New locker rooms were added for the exercise room and pool area. Corrections were also made to the existing walls within the pool area.

The City Hall portion of the building was upgraded with improved circulation including a new elevator along with upgraded mechanical and electrical features. New office space in the renovated police station on the lower level allowed for departments on the upper level to expand and design better work flow areas.
