As the Owner and Managing Principal of Blumentals/Architecture, Jim has his finger on the pulse of the firm. One of his key roles is to actively review projects during design and construction; ensuring details are up to date along with performing the Quality Control step on documents prior to them leaving the office.
Over the years, Jim has accumulated experience in many building types including Hotels, Industrial, Hospitality, and Multi-family Housing. Jim is very detail-oriented and takes great pride in working out the details with the design team to ensure projects are built to give our clients years of exceptional service.
Jim joined the firm after he graduated from North Dakota State University (NDSU) with a degree in Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995. In 2000 Janis and Su Blumentals were ready to transition and made Jim an offer he could not refuse - to buy into the firm. In 2006 Jim became the sole owner of Blumentals/Architecture.
Every summer Jim gives back to the local community by volunteering a full week to Habitat for Humanity. Jim loves lending a hand by leading a crew to help give deserving families a leg up in life.
