Haithem joined Blumentals/Architecture in October 2017, bringing experience in a combination of architecture and urban design. He sees the two disciplines interlinked and over the years has developed an interest in the social responsibility of architecture and how design can impact a community.

He previously practiced in various architecture and urban design firms in Western New York and Philadelphia, focusing on residential, commercial and urban development projects, most notably the 1,800-acre master planning project in Niagara Falls, NY.

Haithem holds M.Arch degree with distinction from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he received both the Design Excellence Award and his work was published in the Annual Best Student-Work publication. He was also awarded in the 15th Annual NYS Green Building Conference for the best sustainable study (Graduate Arch. Students Category)

Prior to his experience in the United States, Haithem is a registered architect in Libya, where he received his B.Arch degree from Tripoli University in 2003 and practiced architecture for 10 years in his father's firm, where he led the design team and worked on numerous housing and commercial projects.

His +14 years’ diversified experience in both United States and abroad, along with his design and digital presentation capabilities, are a few of the assets he contributes to Blumentals/Architecture.

Being new to Twin Cities, Haithem sets out to explore the city’s architecture and gets to know more about its urban fabric.
