Property Management Company: Portland Place is an existing three-story/seventeen-unit building of affordable rental housing. The exterior of the building was transformed with the addition of a sloped roof and gabled porch roofs.
Significant
site re-grading was required to solve troublesome drainage problems at the
rear of the site. New metal fences were added to the front of the facility
to preserve the small front yards. The
upgraded interiors included enhanced building ventilation systems.
The upgraded facility is significantly more livable and instills a sense of community for residents due to the many porches overlooking the street and backyard.
